I have had an amazing job. I have met people from all over the world and even made a few fantastic friends along the way. The most important of these are my boss and his family. They have made me feel so welcome and even sometimes as one of their own. Weather it be popping off firecrackers with them on 4th of July or sipping champagne with them on New Years eve, I knew I was with kind and caring people. I will always hold them in my heart and know they are going to be blessed. I will also miss some of our long standing employees, Debbie who brought me in, Katrina who showed unforgettable kindness, and Tara who has become one of my best friends. I love and miss all of you.
I have seen this motel go through some changes over the last 2 years. Be it employees or upgrades it has been exciting and challenging. We have gone through our share of employees since I've been here. Some have moved away, gone on to greener pastures, or just faded into the back ground but, I can tell you all of them were people I call friend. I know many of our customers feel the same way. Not a day goes by that a customer doesn't ask how this or that past employee is doing , and most of the time I can happily give them an update. I hope that one day I will receive one of those smiles that a customer has on their face when they hear that their staff member is doing well.
I have high hopes for this little motel sitting right off the highway. They are improving standards everyday and continues to grow into everyone's favorite stay-over. I wish I could be here to watch it, but I will always have my fond memories of my bosses, co-workers, and customers. I will miss you TexInn and I hope I will be missed as well.
Saying "Thank you for coming to the TexInn" for the last time,
Lacy
